RETAIL ASSOCIATE JOB REQUIREMENTS


Sales Outfitters must be driven to provide Legendary Impressions for our customers and be team players. Outfitters must have the ability to pay close attention to detail, and listen to customers’ needs. They also must:

RETAIL ASSOCIATE JOB OVERVIEW


The successful job candidate will provide a legendary customer service experience for every customer by engaging customers with a rich, relevant experience. The retail associate will showcase expertise for Cabela’s exceptional products, and provide insight to the excellent value of experiences and memories to be made in the outdoors now and in the future.
The Sales Outfitter may be assigned to any one of the following areas: hunting, fishing, camping, footwear, clothing, gifts, general store, archery, marine or bargain cave.


Retail Associate Job Essential Functions


The Gainesville, VA, Sales Outfitter will:
  • Provide legendary customer service every time by assisting customers in making buying decisions by identifying and evaluating customers' needs, and making product recommendations based off of this analysis, by providing a legendary customer experience for every customer and promoting Cabela's programs including, but limited to CLUB Membership, Kiosk, VOC and In-Store Pick-up.
  • Assure visual presentation standards are met by upkeep and maintenance to include, but not limited to restock, remerchandising, dusting, and vacuuming sales floor as needed.
  • Respond and handle customer issues by using good judgment and logic in solving problems and making decisions within the job scope.
  • Assist in other areas of the store when business needs dictate, which may include, but not limited to: hunting, fishing, camping, footwear, clothing, gifts, general store, archery, marine, backend, cashier, and deli or bargain cave.


Retail Associate Job Requirements


  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 0 to 2+ years’ experience
  • Hiring preference is given to those with solid sales experience and at least one year of related field experience.


Other Skills/Abilities


  • Must be able to read documents, printouts, reports, computer screens and other written communication.
  • Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with customers and co-workers.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk to fill orders, assist customers on the sales floor, etc.
  • Must be able to stock product at various racking levels, use step stool or ladder, etc.
  • Must be able to place product on/off shelving.
  • Must be able to write, type and use phone system.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Travel domestically 60-70% and internationally occasionally.

Des Moines, Davenport and Cedar Rapids, IA Sales Representative Job Duties

This sales-driven role is an outside route position, with local driving required. As an Iowa sales representative, you will develop and build grocery and convenience store account sales by delivering the product (via truck) to four to eight stores (depending on size) within assigned areas. Some display/ merchandising duties may be required, as well.

Des Moines, Davenport and Cedar Rapids, IA Sales Rep Job Qualifications

To qualify, you must be a high school graduate. You also must be 21 years or older with a valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance. You should be able to meet MVR requirements, and be able to pass a drug and background check. Vending, retail, and grocery, stocking shelves experience would be a plus! Note: work schedules will vary, with weekend and holiday hours required.
