Winchester, VA Tractor Trailer Driver Job Description

Route tractor trailer drivers are responsible for transporting used cooking oils and animal by-products from a variety of customers while operating within DOT regulations, staying on schedule, upholding all safety and company policies, and maintaining a high level of customer service, using heavy or tractor-trailer trucks.

Route Driver Job Responsibilities:

• Efficiently pick up and deliver raw materials
• Load and unload material as needed
• Perform pre and post-trip inspections
• Must keep equipment clean and functioning properly
• Use on-board computer with a high level of accuracy

Route Driver Job Requirements:

• Hold a Class A commercial driver license
• Have a tanker endorsement or be willing to get one
• Be free of accidents/moving violations for the past 12 months
• Good work record and MVR

To qualify, you must be at least 23 years of age, hold a current CDL Class A license and possess at least one year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience that brings, with it, a working knowledge of basic safety regulations and requirements. Importantly, you will need a good driving record that is free of a DUI or DWI within the past 5 years, more than 2 moving violations within the last three years and any D.O.T. suspension or reckless driving charge in the last three years.
